(just as Prophets Noah, Abraham, Jesus & Moses, David and others were earlier Messengers)
Quran 4.163.We have revealed to you (O Messenger), as We revealed to Noah and the Prophets after him; and We revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the Prophets who were raised in the tribes, and Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon; and We gave David the Psalms
Quran 42:13 The same religion GOD established for you as which GOD enjoined on Noah-the religion which We have sent by inspiration to you - and which We enjoined on Noah, Abrahm, Moses, and Jesus: ..
(This simple statement affirms to Muslims their belief in ONE God as exemplified on Earth by GOD’s final Messenger. By looking at the exemplary life of the Final Messenger, Muslims better understand their role to be be a positive role model and act as custodian to ALL on this Earth.
Muslims know that they have to strive to ONLY do good in whatever they do. Muslims understand that they are accountable on the Day of Judgement for all that they do that is good or bad. Muslims also understand that GOD only commands GOOD.
The five daily prayers are held in the Masjid.Icd Prayer Times
وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَارْكَعُوا مَعَ الرَّاكِعِينَ
And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience] – Qur’an 2:43
The congregational salat (Iqama) is conducted at a fixed offset from the beginning of the salat times as distributed by the Masjid Committee at the beginning of each month:
MAGHRIB – 5 minutes after time
‘ISHAA’ – 10 minutes after time
FAJR – ~40 minutes after time (currently 5.10am)
DHUHR – 12.30pm
‘ASR – 10 minutes after time
JUMU’AH – khutbah at 1pm sharp
